We will catch the splendor of sunrise over the Blue Mountain tops on our honeymoon! We might stay overnight at Whitfield Inn and set off at 2 a.m. to arrive on top of the peak at 5:30 a.m. For this exquisite experience, we look forward to an 18 mile hike – nine there and nine back. The flora and fauna will change the higher we hike and so will the altitude from 3,500 to 7,000 feet. We will pace ourselves and discover the hike of our dreams.

Known as an alluring Honeymoon Suite, this delightful One Bedroom Villa is the perfect place to be alone together. The flow of this 1500 square foot cottage is open and welcoming, as doors from both the bedroom and living room link the interior to a broad wraparound veranda, framed by fragrant flowers and with a striking view of Kingston way down below. This villa also includes a full kitchen, a mini bar with local drinks and snacks, plush bathrobes, luxurious bath products, nightly turndown service, and a queen-sized bed with luscious linens. We will let the pure mountain air caress us as we recline in the gazebo in our lush private garden. We will marvel at the stunning views far below the mountainside, as water cascades around us in our private outdoor shower. Our One Bedroom Villa is a honeymooner’s paradise!

On the welcoming wraparound veranda, we will sip on a sublime tropical fruit cocktail or let the gracious New Plantation ambiance of their dining room enhance our experience as we savor a slice of warm bread pudding with a dash of Blackwell’s Rum, and accompany it with a Blue Mountain coffee. We will choose from traditional dishes like lamb curry and fish stew with a local twist, a classic omelet aux fines herbes with just-picked thyme and a fragrant side of callaloo, Jamaica’s sturdy spinach. With these menu selections and more, we will enjoy an unforgettable dining experience at Strawberry Hill’s Restaurant.
