A Chef and a Baker fall in love and get married.....
Well sorta. It wasn't always bliss, but with two strong-willed, independent, and passionate people involved it was certain that our courtship would be anything but ordinary.
Matt owned a bakery at one end of Main Street, and Amy owned a restaurant at the other. We had a common goal of making great food from scratch in our small community. Though our approaches were different, our desire to create something great was the same.
One fateful June afternoon, there was a tremendous storm that not only destroyed a community event in the nearby park, but also knocked out power to Amy's restaurant. With our mutual friend, Mark, an amazing electrician, working his magic....he suggested enlisting Matt's help by borrowing his generator. Ever skeptical of asking for his help, Amy agreed she needed him.....Never would she realize at that moment just how much!
Like a knight in shining armor on horseback (well, more like covered in tattoos and driving an old blue FJ60) he arrived with the generator. And from that point forward we have been nearly inseparable.
Over the past couple of years we have helped each other through many upheavals and grown tremendously. On a wall in our house hangs a sign that reads:
"Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life."
We live that everyday. With two dogs, 3 cats, and 5 chickens we have our little corner of happiness in the world that we would love to share with all of you!
We welcome each of you to share in some great food, drink, and a great afternoon of happiness.
